A male betta should not be a problem with the angels unless the angels pick on the betta. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. You can only put him in and watch closely for the first few hours to see what they will do. Be ready to remove him if problems start.
This seems to be a good starting place for you to start reading up:

Hope this helps and good luck with your fish

Probably, it depends on the size of the tank. The bettas may have issues with the long fins of the angels (particularly if they are veil tails), but if there is enough room for all of them to have their own territoties, and enough plants for them all hide in and to break sightlines, it should be okay. I'd say that a 50 gallon would be minimum for 4 angels and a betta. He may freak at first, but give him a week to calm down. If the angelfish are picking on the betta, however, you may need to move him.

There are many, many good websites about fish. You can just google "Fish forum" or "About fish" or whatever, but some recommendations:

Honestly this is a bad idea. Angels are rather big finned which could attract the betta's ire. Also angels are pretty slow swimmers, and big. They won't be able to out swim or hide from the betta. Even with a mild mannered betta the angels will grow up, and pair off. The betta will then be the dominant pair's 1st target.

Yes, you can put a male Beta in a community tank. You can have up to 3 or 4 in a 50 gallon aquarium. There territory is rather small and as long as you have many plants it should be OK.

One thing to watch for is angle fish tend to be fin nippers.

I don't know of any sites to refer you to, I learned by getting 4 books on fish and at one time I had about 25 tanks set up and bred many types of fish. I was even able to sell to pet shops.

It is a fun hobby but if it gets out of hand like I did you will be cleaning aquariums every day.

it depends on the personlity of the fish. I currently have 2 male betas. The first one i put into my community tank had to be removed right away. he tore the fins off of 3 of my fish. The second one i tried has been in there for atleast 6 months with pretty much no problem(had to remove him for a week to treat fungus)

Give it a try but keep an extra bowl handy just incase you got one with alot of fight in him. just use the water from the tank

make sure your tank has alot of plants. that will cut down on the fighting because they will have places to hide. and stress coat either the same day you add the beta or the day before. just incase

It depends on the betta, but generally, bettas should not be kept with other fish with flowing fins. Angels are slow swimmers like the betta though and angels are somewhat aggressive cichlids, so they may actually pester your betta.

My favorite fish sites:

http://www.aquariumadvice.com ~ they have fish profiles, they are very knowledgeable and helpful with new people to the hobby

http://www.bigalsonline.com ~ you can get everything for your fish like a million times cheaper than anywhere else

http://www.badmanstropicalfish.com/ ~ great articles for beginners, awesome fish profiles

http://www.centralpets.com/pages/fish/fish.html ~ another great site for fish profiles and infomation

http://www.theaquariumwiki.com/Main_Page ~ a newer site, but seems to have some good info.

I have listed these in their order of importantce to me. Aquariumadvice has been my hub of information since starting in this hobby. I love it.

I have a male Betta in with 1 angelfish... along with other types of fish, its a community tank, and they all do fine. My betta likes to get behind my fake plants though, so i would recommend those.

bettas are called fighting fish. but theyve been breed so easily and so much that they lost their whole nature to fight pretty much. they can be agressive when trying to breed but most of the time they are not. if they go nip at the angelfish trust me the angels will nip back.

NO! Beta fish are natural fighting fish and anything that has fancy fins will be attacked by it.
