As a browns fan I would give you our #3 pick in the draft for the guy.

I would not trade a bevy of high draft picks for LJ. He has absorbed a lot of hits and contrary to common opinion, I don't think he is a top talent. He is a product of a systme and a great OL. You saw his production dip this past year when some of the OL in KC were gone, and that will only get worse. He is good, but not elite and I would not give up anything more than a late first round pick for him. Plus, he is going to eat up a huge amount of cap space for whatever team has him. A Rb is just not that important--it's the OL and the Qb that are most important on offense, and defense is more important than offense. You have to have priorities because you can't afford to have stars at every position.

If I were the Chiefs, I would look for some GM that thinks the LJ is the missing piece of the puzzle to get to the Superbowl and then get a boatload of draft picks for him. Remember what the Cowboys did when they traded Hershel Walker to Minnesota for all those draft picks. There might not be any GMs out there willing to make that trade, but all it takes is one.

It is possible. Johnson wants a new , Tomlinson like, contract ($60 Million over 5 years). Plus he had 420 carries last year...a huge work load for any RB. Another year like that and will he be used up like Jamal Anderson after his 2 years of heavy use? Should KC try to get a package player or draft pick deal for him now? Like I said, it's possible.

That's a ridiculous rumor. Carl Peterson is too smart of a GM to get rid of 1/3 of his offense. There is no amount of draft picks/personal that a single team has - that they would be willing to get rid of - that is worth trading LJ for. The Chiefs offense needs him. Without a back like him or Priest, who probably won't play again, that offense goes nowhere. Any back thats already in the league wouldn't be worth trading LJ for, unless it LT. And you can't expect to get a draft pick and have a rookie come in and fill his shoes.

Of course I'd be willing to trade for A premiere young running back, but not for THAT "premiere young running back".
First off, he's an (7-letter word beginning with A, ending with "hole", and you can figure out the rest for yourself). Furthermore, he's just coming off a 416-carry season. That kind of workload has broken many running backs, and LJ will be the next broken back. Mark my words.
For Kansas City's sake, I hope they do find a deal they like.

As a Giants fan, the lose of Tiki Barber hurts. Plus, I think we are close, personnel wise, to being very good. With another year or two for our young players to mature, we can be one of the top teams in the NFC. But we have to have someone to replace Tiki. I think I would probably give up our first and third round picks for a running back like LJ. Why risk drafting someone who might turn out to be a bust? With LJ you get a proven player. Plus, he spends all of his off season in NY anyway. I think he would be worth our low 1st round and low 3rd round picks.

With Johnson's carries plus the fact that KC somehow always seems to have a good running game no matter whos there, I wouldnt give up too much for him and I probably wouldnt give him LDT money

Draft picks can never be weighed against established players. Draft picks show what could happen. Established players like LJ show what will happen.

I would give KC the entire Lions team for Larry Johnson. I don't know if KC would accept though. That's a lot of talent to trade to the Lions.
