I am doing a speech on nutrition and it has to be 8 mins. long. i need some statistics on starvation and malnutrition. If you have a story that i could tell about one of these please let me know... i give the speech this next friday.. i have been looking on AVL and i can not find statistics that i could use as a visual aid. please help!!

NOt sure about this but, As seen on tv, there are many children in foreign countries dieing of starvation and malnutrition. The company airs it and ask for donations. But, don't you think we should take care of our own first. I know there are children in the USA that go to school starving and going to bed with very little to eat,but I don't know of any orgination that ask for help and give the food to the children here "free". I feel sorry for the kids in the other countries, but I believe we should take care of our own first!

Sorry, I can't help you out there. BUT I have given many speeches in my life so I will tell you this: make sure you start with a good story to reel the crowd in, maybe even a joke. Don't stand there and give a statistic report! Good luck.
