Why don't they cut the spending?

Hey, here I am nearly 15 years later, still waiting for Clinton's middle-class tax cut, the centerpiece of his campaign platform in 1992.

That should tell you how much credence you should put in a Democrat promise.

Ok, so let’s say the dems cut the war funding……..now what? We will still be in war, but now with no money to spend on our troops! This is what I think we should do…….IF we are going to pull out of Iraq…..then do it NOW…..right now, just send our planes, pack our stuff and get the hell out, not this gradual withdraw crap. Or if we stay…….then we need to give our troops all the money they need, every damn dime they ask for, because it’s the right thing to do. The dems don’t have a plan and never did…..they used this war to get votes and that’s what they got. They will probably do another study group and waste another 3 months and still come up with no plan.

Because it is possible for the Democrats to show bipartisanship... though the same cannot be said about the other party. As well is the fact that though the rep.s love to needlessly blackball them with labels that make a kindergarten name calling contest look like a debate between two republican candidates, they do have the well being of our troops in mind.

From my point of view, founding for the troops will be cut once our boys & girls are back home.

The showdown over funding is coming next month. It will be put up or shut up time for Democrats. I hope they refuse additional funding but keep the current funding in place. That would effectively block the troop surge. At some point, they have to draw a line in the sand.

Why ask a question when you say you don't care?(I read your profile). I guess you are a buffalo chip living just outside a Mountain man's hut. I hope he
pisses on you and then throws you down the mountain where a bit of moisture might make you useful to the planet. You could help a mushroom sprout.
Other than that why are you overexerting your brain? If you can't ask an intelligent question let me help.
Why do Republicans like to live in trailer parks? Next step up for you?

What do you think they are trying to do?

They will not cut the spending to the troops already over there because that would mean instant suicide for them. They are trying to stop any extra fundings to send more.

They just took office, you can not snap your fingers and then bam you over ride the president.

They never promised to cut off funding to the troops already in Iraq and Afghanistan.

They are not because they were with the republicans in the war, they can back out now, even though I think no more troops, bush cant pull out because hes to far in.

They don't want the war to end. This IS their campaign issue for '08.

It'd be a HORRIBLE idea to cut the spending. The Dems never promised to do ANYTHING, just to be bipartison, so I don't know what you're angry about.
