Yes, but it doesn't surprise me. Our government is full of waste and mismanagement. For example - the wasted space in between George Bush's ears.

We shouldn't even be in Iraq. $10 billion is just a drop in the bucket compared to the money wasted on this unjust war. We helped put Saddam in power and now we had to take him out??? Why are we trying to control the Middle East? We can't even take care of our own people here in the 50!

IMPEACH GEORGE W. BUSH NOW!!!!

Hey A_Kansan, do you actually think that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11? Even your buddy W now says that Saddam and Iraq had nothing to do with it. It seems we have a consensus... except for you. Who's the idiot? Sounds like it might be you and Toto.

Your neighbor in MO

P.S. You are correct, New Orleans did/does have the most corrupt government. The government may have gotten what it deserved. Do you honestly think that the people of New Orleans deserve what they got???? I am not proud that I live in a state that borders yours and I hope the next tornado is a VERY selective one.

No, it makes me mad that idiots like you think that if we sit still and did nothing after 9/11, then they would leave us alone.

They want to kill us. They want to conquer us. They have said so. They won't leave us alone.

I am glad you numb nuts weren't around in WW2, we would have lost.

New Orleans is what it is because that is the most corrupt state in the union.

New Orleans didn't get the main hit of the hurricane, Mississippi did.

New Orleans levies broke because the levy organizations skimmed government money from the funds to line their pockets.

Mississippi hasn't had half the trouble Louisiana has. Florida got hit 5 times in the previous year, and THEY didn't have 1/4 the trouble.

Yes and also all the money they mismanaged involving Katrina. What can we expect when we elect a bunch of thugs to manage our money with no strings attached? They are not concerned about saving money that they are managing when it is not their money. We need to put some penalties on this sort of thing and ENFORCE them.

Government mismanage money? Billions you say?

Why that never happens!

Social security is a constant mismanagement of money. Show me someone who thinks it's great the way it is and i'll show you a crappy investor.

As posted earlier, with that money we could have built New orleans, we could have put a bit of it towards mining expeditions looking for more oil in the US, we could have even put it towards the US's SEVEN-GODDAMN-TRILLION-DOLLAR DEBT!! but of course, with our president as irresponsible as he is, that's a logical impossiblity

and what are you going to do about it?

Seriously, American citizens are so engrossed in their own little dramas, that they can't organize themselves to STOP this. Unless we have a civil war, (which opens us up for economic destruction and even foreign takeover) to reform the government, nothing will change.

Yep. We could have rebuilt New Orleans for that!
