Which listed new-tech battery manufacturers are good speculations?

Hi, I've looked at several battery company stocks, including the ones mentioned in the Tidalforce Goggle Group (forum), but don't like ABAT nor ELECTROVAYA.

The large Japanese companies like Panasonic are possibilities.

Anybody have comments on which battery company is likely to become a "Xerox" stock? (Xerox was said to have appreciated some 60,000 percent.)

Maxwell Technologies (MXWL) makes untracapacitors. I read one persons ideas about building a wave/current powered power plant in the middle of the ocean, placing large untracapacitors in ships the size of supertankers, dock them to the plant, collect many mw of electricity then sail to a port city and connect the ship to the grid for a week or two. I would think such a thing is many many years away.
Altair Nanotechnologies (ALTI) uses (as the name says) nanotechnologies to build a better battery. They are supplying their batteries to a company in Calif. which builds electric pickup trucks for fleet customers. They plan to build a car/truck for the general public next year. They say their batteries can run 120 miles on a charge, and then take only 10 minutes to recharge.
For a more conservative company, Johnson Controls Inc is a "blue chip" company with two major businesses: building controls/maintenance and auto parts. Part of their auto parts business is manufacturing of auto batteries. They do have a R&D department so I would think they will keep up with the latest battery news.
DO NOT take the above information as a "tip." You don't know me, I have not personally visited the factories of the above companies so I have no first hand knowledge of the prospects of these companies. Do you own research! If you Google batteries, electric cars, nanotechnology, they will get hundreds of thousands of hits listing many companies. Make up you own mind.
