aka a 3.7 GPA? I'm in a ton of extracurriculars, national honors society, and a bunch of stuff like that, but most of my friends have 4.5 GPA's or higher. Is it still possible to get into a 4-year college with less than a 4.0?

look at the US News list, tier one, #40 and down. Places like Loyola, near the bottom will give you a bunch of aid, but if you are a senior this year, its too late for aid, pretty much.

There's no precise "formula" for getting into college, most colleges want an origin, diverse study body and while grades are definitely important, they aren't everything! Extracurriculars, jobs, hobbies, SAT/ACT scores, teacher recommendations, essays--all sorts of other things go into the equation too.

Also keep in mind that the vast majority of students do not have 4.0 GPAs but still get into 4 year colleges. So the answer is yes, it IS possible. Don't stress, just work hard and do your best, that's the most anyone can ask of you!

Hmmm... it worth a try.. u never know until u do! Hopefully they will take into consideration other aspects of ur life beside just ur marks alone. If u are not so far from the required average then I'd way go for it!

Pick the top three universities u would like to attend and apply to ALL of them .. guaranteed ya that u will get in to at least one of it.

Cheers and good luck!

Oh, yes. Good grades, lots of extra curriculars, good letters of recommendation from your teachers all help to get into school. Colleges like their students to be well rounded, as well as focused when it comes to studies. Now, you have to look at what you want to study, then choose a college that works for you. Good luck!

Absolutely! It all depends on which College you are interested in attending. Go speak with your Guidance Counselor at school. They are there for you and to help you sort out what is viable for you to do. If necessary, you might have to take one or two courses to up grade your average. Don't give up!!!!
