I'm going on a one night stop to Vegas, but don't want to spend a lot on entertainment. Someone told me in Vegas the casinos give complimentary drinks and chips to everyone who comes in. Any tips?

If you really want comps, go to a locals bar off the strip. You will get drinks and food. But for one night I don't imagine you want to travel that far. Freemont St. is much better with the comps than the Strip. Better odds, too.

Once I heard Billy Graham say there were more Churches in Las Vegas than Casinos....Its just that more people go to the Casinos then the Churches... However, Las Vegas can be a nice place to live. Who knows, you may get employed to be a Chip Monk!!

The myth of free drinks in Vegas doesn't factor in big tips to your waitress, who if you don't give her a couple bucks per drink will magically disappear for an hour...If you are there for one night ONLY I suspect you probably aren't getting free chips...Check of terms of all casinos "PLAYERS CARDS".

Generally the one with the most comps is the one you gamble the most at.

They know me very well at the Wynn. Just tell them you know me and ask for the free chips and drinks. They love it when I send guys in. Go to the main desk and ask for Stew Padas.

You get more comps the more you gamble. If you looking for free drinks you get free drinks when you gamble but be sure to tip the waitress if you want her to return.

They also give out free comedy and performance tickets. Just say yes to one of the many hotel personnel when they ask you if you'd like tickets...
