How is it that Bush can, with a straight face, expect North Korea to comply with UN resolutions, when he clearly disregarded the UN when invading Iraq?

Because he (and a lot of the people in the US) think it's one rule for them and a different rule for everyone else. The US owes millions to the UN in back payments that every country must legally pay. Also, if the UN wasn't based in the US i don't think they would even bother to show up. The US government clearly holds the UN in contempt and only sees it as a means of achieving their own goals when it suits them.

Exactly how did we disregard the UN when we went into Iraq? We enforced the UN's policies...

He was the only one willing to support the UN Security Council Resolutions on Saddam Hussein... so no... it seems just like him...

We don't know a lot about the UN do we? It's impotent. A bunch of corrupt paper tigers. They couldn't pour **** out of a boot with directions on the heel. There idea of tough actions are sanctions! Oh no--not sanctions! Give me a break................
