Yes, she flat lined last night and is talking to dead people.

I think her mother dies next and tells her to go back and be something special. She comes back but she is sad to lose her mother.

The question is what will she do now that she can't use her mother as an excuse for being there and doing what she is doing.

It could go either way. I think she will revive once her body temp comes back up but then there will be the inevitable 'what happened to her brain- can she still function' scenes. Or, they could give up, be turning off the lights of the OR, take one last look at her body on the table, and see her pinkie twitch. Or, it could be like Desperate Housewives, where one of the main characters has been dead from the get-go but still narrates each show. Meredith could be dead but continue to narrate, which would allow the show to continue to be named after her. Whatever happens will happen when she has had a conversation with Danny and the other guy (blown up FBI guy?) in the heavenly operating room.

I wonder about all the epi they plunged into her to get her heart going. If she does wake up will she have an immediate heart attack? Also, has anyone ever seen her in an operating room? All I see her do is wandering around talking to people or doing stuff by her locker or laying in bed with Derek.

She flatlined, saw dead characters from previous episodes, so in reality one would expect her to die in the next episode. But, this isn't reality. It's television.

She will be revived for 3 reasons.

1) She's the main character, and the show is named after her.
2) Ellen Pompeo (the Actress who plays Meredith Grey) doesn't have any other gigs coming up soon. No pending movie contracts. No new shows. Think she'll just quit this excellent paying job?
3) It's television and miracles happen on TV.

she can not die. absolutly not=] i love her and mcdreamy together. and i think that something will happen with that Jane Doe lady and maybe when they showed some of the doctors like yang being all confused, maybe it was with her. i think something will happen with her baby. but if Grey dies, i dont know what i will do. I dont think i will be able to watch it anymore=[ but on another show One Tree Hill, a character had a "dream" similar to merediths and he woke up. so i believe that she will realize the dream and just wake up to be with Derick. and i think that it was so sad when he was sitting in the hallway crying because he wasn't allowed in the room. I cried a lot this episode. on a website i saw that there was like a Top 10 most worthless show characters and Dr. Burke was #5. so i am surprised that nothing happened to him.=] sorry so long!:)

she's having a crossover moment right now. she'll converse with a couple of dead folks, and then end up revived on the table. She HAS to...but the show does a great job with the suspense...i mean, we KNOW she has to live, and yet there is that feeling of nagging doubt after last nights episode...

such a great show!

I highly doubt that she is dead. I think that since she say Denny in this past episode, something will be said to Izzy for when she does come back to the show. Hopefully!
