It is true you should be true to what you want. Just remember you want to look back at you wedding day and not regret any fashion choices you may have made. I am a planner and for my wedding my girls wore black dresses the guys wore black shirts under black tuxes and I wore a white dres with a black sash that wrapped my waist and had tails the length of my train. My flowers were black majic roses with a black satin ribbon wrapped handle Think theme but remember you want to look back on your wedding day and not regret any choices. I will say black is a classic and looks good on anyone. but what color will you girls where. remember you want to be differant from them. Congrats and best wishes by the way.

Wedding dresses are supposed to be personalized items of clothing that meet the bride's wants and needs, if your dream dress is black, so be it.
Mine wasn't, and I don't like black wedding dresses but you are the one wearing it and the one who loves it, I'm sure you will rock in it as well.

I think it is more fitting to wear black, since a wedding half the time ends up as your death march anyways. I have been buried....Umm, I mean married, for ten years now!!!

I married in a black gown, and I have been married for almost 7 years. I thought black looked good with my red hair!

If you like the dress and the color that's all that matters. I personally love wearing black.

My Thoughts: It is your wedding!!! YOU need to decide.
I was a maid-of-honor in a evening wedding and we wore black and Tiaras. It was beautiful.

My nephew's wife wore one at their wedding. I thought it was kinda odd, as if they thought the marriage was doomed from the start or something. Turns out she's just an atheist.
