It depends on how many time the clock stops during the game. An average game usually lasts about a hour or a little more. There are 8 minutes in a quarter and 10 minutes at half-time so 8(4) + 10 = 42 minutes plus the time the clock is not running.

I play basketball myself and here are some handy hints. Have some sort of muesli bar or light snack approx 15minutes before the trial. Also, don't drink Gatorade or Red bull before the trial. These drinks give you a sugar rush, so your liver will stop producing sugar. As the sugar from the energy drinks is used up, the liver cannot pick up in time and therefore you will have a "crash period" --> not so good if this is in the middle of the trial. A little bit of nerves is actually useful. It heightens awareness and can actually help you. Before the trial, use visualisation techniques --- watch urself shooting the hoops, blocking etc. Scientists have proven that people can improve their technique through visualisation. In fact, people can get up to 50% of the body which they would have gotten from excercising at the gym just from visualising themselves lifting weights, running etc. Finally....good luck with the trial and do your best. It doesnt matter if u make the team

in high school, each quarter is 8 minutes so it is at least 32. then you have half time which is about 15. so your are at 47. then you have all your stoppage of play including time outs and fouls. i say this will take about 24 minutes. you add that up and you have 1 hour 11 minutes. then toss in 5 minutes for anonymous stopping. so if you lokk at this mathmatically, then you are going to be at a bball game for app. 1 hour 16 minutes.
