You Conservatives really make my blood boil.

I'll have you know that Ms. Barbra Streisand, our brave leader in the fight against global warming, is flying her beautiful, Cessna Citation jet all around the country to find just the right decorator color of solar panels to use at her Malibu compound. She will prove to the world that "green" can be beautiful.

How dare you bring up such a crass thing such as money! I'll have you know that Ms. Streisand is probably just scraping by to purchase these solar panels because she doesn't really have a career anymore, and now she also has a husband to support.

Can't you Conservatives ever think about anything but money?

Claire's argument does not make lots experience to me the two. First; Claire is conversing on the subject of the 2nd regulation ('you could in easy terms lose or wreck even'), no longer the 0.33 regulation ('you won't be in a position to get to absolute 0'). extremely puzzled, yet no longer that substantial! putting a photograph voltaic panel down _can_ advance the warmth absorbed with the help of Earth. each and everything has an 'albedo' (the share of incoming gentle it reflects), and Earth's properly-known albedo is approximately 0.3 (ie 30% of incoming gentle is pondered, maximum of which leaves the ambience in the present day away). with the help of putting a 0.05 albedo photograph voltaic panel down on a 0.3 albedo floor, you advance the quantity of photograph voltaic this is absorbed with the help of Earth and consequently make a contribution to warming. This warmth is re-radiated on the Earth's temperature, in the dazzling wavelength selection to be absorbed with the help of greenhouse gases too. in case you positioned a panel down on equatorial ocean, or a black roof, whether, there is incredibly lots no result (by using fact the albedo exchange is small). additionally, the heating bring about easy terms lasts as long by using fact the panel is there. maximum panels are expected to final 50 years, meanwhile CO2 has a advise existence of a hundred+ years. I did some maths and found that the a hundred 3 hundred and sixty 5 days averaged exchange in radiative forcing for photograph voltaic panels become unfavorable whilst in comparison with the united kingdom electric powered grid, by using fact the alleviation in CO2 emissions has a bigger result than the exchange in albedo. If I even have spare time the next day i'm going to redo the calculations and share them. The albedo exchange must be considered nonetheless!

I'm no GWF but when I get a chance, I'm going to install some wind turbines and solar panels for my home. I think that we need to become more self-reliant regarding home power generation and privately invest in alternative energies. That comes as much from being a wiser steward of our resources as a latent distrust in the future integrity of our national power grid. The taxpayers shouldn't have to shoulder this burden though.

You know by now that most liberals' policy is "Do as I say, and not as I do."

Liberals like the extreme conservationists (Al Gore comes to mind) are idealists at heart, so their rhetoric and ideology may sound good, but they have no realism, or any grounding in reality to back it up, which is why most people are still doing nothing to reverse Global Warming, despite all the liberal protests.

Do you realize how many homes and cars could be converted just with one of the "average Wall Street" end of year bonuses that were recently given. $650K to multi-millions could do wonders.

Over time renewable energy such as solar and wind power pay for themselves and profit.

That makes a lot of sense. Lets just ignore the issue because it's too expensive and too hard to deal with.

Depends on your definition of a "global warming freak." To me, a global warming freak is someone who discounts the overwhelming consensus of actual research scientists with Ph.D.'s in favor of the OPINIONS of a few influential COLLEGE DROPOUTS with A.M. radio shows.

I always get a kick out of people that have Kerry/Edwards stickers on their "gas guzzling SUV's"

Not to mention all the clear cutting of trees Edwards did for his new home
