1. DNA is found predominantly in the nucleus of the cell and is tightly wound when cells are not actively dividing. Mitochondria also have DNA but only for their own purposes and replication.
2. The building blocks of DNA are nucleotides. A nucleotide consists of 1 phosphate group, 1 deoxyribose, and 1 purine or pyrimidine base.
3.DNA contains 2'-Deoxyribose (hence the "D" in the acronym DNA).
4.The purine bases are adenine and guanine.
5.The pyrimidine bases are Thymine and cytosine.
6. Adenine hyrogen bonds with thymine in normal double stranded DNA.
7. Guanine hydrogen bonds with cytosine in normal double stranded DNA
8. The backbone is made of alternating phosphate and deoxyribose groups. Phosphate links the alternating deoxyribose at the 5 and 3 positions of the sugar. The bases of the DNA strand are attached to the 1 position.

1.DNA is found in chromosomes located in nucleus of the cell.
2.DNA is made up of nucleotides (linked together in a chain &arranged like a twisted ladder).each nucleotide is consists of of 3 units -a pentose sugar molecule called deoxyribose,a phosphate group,a nitrogenous base-adenine(A),guanine(G),thymine(T),cytosine(C).
3.a pentose sugar.
4.purine-guanine,adenine.
5.pyrimidine-cytosine,thymine.
6.adenine with thymine.
7.guanine with cytosine.
8.phosphate forms the backbone.each phopsphate with two sugar molecule&each sugar with nitrogenous base.
