None of the above for me this year. No romance, but I still saw people and went out, enjoyed time with my two lab mixes, and have sweets and flowers to two old dears who have been kind to me over the years.
Life is GOOD!

A cold blizzard ridden Valentines Day was softened by my husband who gave me one red rose , a small box of chocolates, my most favorite perfume and a romantic card. He had all of this ready fo me on Valentines Day morning before he left for work. Being the last minute type of person I am, could not free my car on Valentines day, to do my shopping for him.
Instead, I armed myself with the snow shovel after the blizzard, and cleared the snow from the front of our home and cleared a space for him to park his truck . By the time all my shovelling was done, I had neither the strength nor ambition to go shopping. But the day after (yesterday) I made up for it.
So I did have to give him a belated gift. I think that all the heavy work I did ,was , in his mind, gift enough. He made my day, and I hope I made his.

I made up a WORDSEARCH puzzle and have all the hints that are personal inside moments and jokes that only we both would know about. I put it on a poster board and added some clipart and some real pics of us to it!
I used Excel for WordSearch, got clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copied them, and reformatted them, printed out smaller sizes of our pics from Word, and used a gluestick to put everything on a posterboard.
We had a great time, him trying to figure it out and me giving him more hints and laughing at him!
