First, make sure the codes are all erased from the buttons by holding the #1 and #3 button for a while till the Info thingy tells you it's cleared. Then, take a working transmitter, put it next to the HomeLink thingy, and simultaneously hold the button you want to program and the transmitter that came with the garage door. After that's trained, go to the garage door opener itself, find the train button, press it. Run back to the car, that needs to be parked nearby, or in the garage... Press and hold the button you previously trained for about a minute. Then, leave it be for a few minutes then it should all work. Good luck!

The owners manual has a decent explanation too - but I guess you may not have one handy! :)

First, some openers won't program. Next, all 3 buttons may be programmed to different openers already. To check this, press and hold a button for about 5 seconds. If the light is on steady, the button has already been programmed. If the light blinks slowly, the button has not been programmed yet. To clear all the buttons' programs, press and hold the outside two buttons until the light blinks quickly (15-30 seconds - maybe a bit more). Check to see the buttons are now empty by pressing them and the light should blink slowly. Now hold your old opener right up to the vehicle buttons. Press and hold the vehicle button and then press your old opener button - hold them both down till the programming is complete. When the programming is complete, the light will flash faster. Some types of openers need to be cycled to program them. Follow the previous steps, but cycle your old opener button - on for 2 seconds, off for a second, on 2 seconds etc... If the opener still won't program, it is likely an old style that won't be accepted by the vehicle. I've never seen a faulty one yet, and they've been around for about 9 years already.

I had a 2001 Chrysler LHS with the same feature and I could never get it to work with my garage door. I followed the directions in the owners manual to the letter and it just wouldnt work. I think it was the garage door opener and not the car.

The built-in system in your Chrysler is manufactured by a company called HomeLink. Visit www.homelink.com, or call (800) 355-3515, and their tech support department can walk you through the steps over the telephone.
