i have a dentist app. for tooth filling on monday.i am ttc and i suspect pregnancy but i am not sure as my period is not due yet.if i go ,will this affect a possible pregnancy or cause early miscariage? thank you

Just let them know that you think you might be pregnant. I went to the dentist knowing I was pregnant they double protected me and used a different numbing gel. Oh this gel worked wonders. I say just let them know.

Yes, having a normal filling can affect your pregnancy. My wife ran into this same problem her last App. Her filling was a minor one and they were able to do it without the numbing. You should definately make your dentist aware of your concerns. He should be able to review his records and tell you if he could do this procedure without risk to your baby. I think the risk stems primarily from the drugs they usually use to numb you. Hope this helps.

If you go in and tell them that you even suspect being pregnant they will not touch you without prior approval from an OB/GYN especially if you are getting x-rays. It is much safer to wait until your second trimester and they will do it then.

tell them you could possibnly be pregnant and they can do differnt thing so it wont hurt the baby is you are, usually now days they always ask you
