I think that all people should be equal and have the same rights as each other no matter how much you disagree with someones beliefs as long as they are a good citizen, not breaking the law or hurting anyone.
The muslim community are always fighting discrimination and striving for equality, so why is the Muslim Council trying to stop "same sex marriage"? This is right that gay people should have!
Is it not rich that you are fighting for your own right to equality think it is acceptbale to fighting against ours?
Yes, many other cultures and religions are against it too, yet they are not always screaming about rights for equality and discrimination.

yeah i agree.. I am muslim also.. and believe STRONGLY in equality.. and if that means that a gay person wants to marry.. then go ahead...
I think your whole argument is correct.. I mean, personally i believe that no one has a right to judge.. only God can judge..

But I think that Islam is in many ways a victim of much more hate nowadays and so screaming for equality is only natural for us at the moment..
I think once everything cools down.. we won't need to be screaming for the equality we crave..

Good argument..

Peace and Love..

Well, I am a Muslim and I firmly believe in equality. I also think that gay people have the right to marry each other. However, does President Bush ring any bells? I can't believe he was letting his personal opinion of what a family and marriage should be rule his thoughts!

Yeah good question.

Funny how they slag off gays and single sexaully active couples and girls etc....; but get all upset when they are criticised.

How they demean women with burkas and laws against women driving in the country that is the centre of their relgion

And even execute gays.

But cry like babies when they are looked down on

Muslims arent fighting for equality, they are in the pursuit of global islamic domination. That is the teaching of the quoran.

They dont compromise on their religion.

We arent going to change the ways of these people and they arent prepared to compromise. Thus ,I think neither should we.

Instead,we should be fighting for our own right to live with our values.
The only way forward is for muslims to return to their countries of origin. From there,I wish them happiness and respect their rights to live however they want to.
