If democratically and legitimately opposing the government is seen as being "Anti-American" - then yes.

So you must now scrap democracy to ensure noone is ever again "anti-american".

No. It's the result of the liberal Democrats refusing to admit that though George may be a _________ (you fill in the blank), their last two candidates couldn't beat him.

If the best your party has got to offer loses to an ___________ (again you fill in the blank) what does that say about YOUR party?

my history books showed the people who started the USA were all liberals who favored freedom and opposed the king.

So liberals love what America is all about much more than the right wingers who don't want freedom and they think Bush is a king.

I think it's fascinating that questions like this completely ignore republican critics of the presidents Iraq policies. Must be an oversight.
