What do you do when it seems like you're at the bottom of the well, with no ladder to climb back up? Who do you look to and why?

I look to myself. I'm the one that got myself here, and I'll be the one to get myself out. When you're in a hole, the first thing you do is STOP digging! When you're at the bottom of the well, every step you take is UP. No ladder??? Start digging holes in the side of the well, and climb!!! Encourage yourself.......today is going to be a GREAT day!

It dosen't matter who or what you look to just as long as you look for somthing or have somthing to hold onto or have any type of hope. When your at the bottom of the well your choices are limited... Stay, rot and die, or climb back out. The second is the better of the two. I myself have made this journey several times. The thing you need to know right now is that you are stuck in a moment. You need to take the first step out. Whatever thois may be for your situation. Get some faith, some type of Higher power, If your into the God thing that is great, if not, use any thing that is stronger thn you and at this point, it seemes it may be just about anything. You mentioned the sun, maybe you could start there. Mother nature is a pretty powerful Source. Or kids or your parents, any thing or any person that will provide you with hope. Now rebuild from square one. You will need to ask others for help, if you try this alone, you will fail, use music also, it could be very insperational. "Square 1,---My Slate Is Clear,----Rest Your Head On Me My Dear, --- It's Been A World Of Trouble, It's Been Tears, It Took A Long Time To Get Back Here.." Tom Petty, Squar One. Good Luck and God Bless

The most important thing is to maintain a positive attitude...if thats possible. Spending time wallowing never helps. Take a good long look at your situation, and craft a plan for getting out of it. Ask for help if you need it. The important thing is getting out of your rut...or your well.

Once out...analyze how you got there...and make sure not to repeat those mistakes again.

Spending time on emotion, in this case, is futile. Picking yourself up is an action...not an emotion. Treat it as such. Often people find physical strength before they find emotional strength...so work with that.

Good luck...I wish you well.

You can't rely on opinions of others ( like the Answers community ) to decide your fate,

You need to figure out why you are there, and how to get out and never go back. It sounds like you visit this well often.
