If a family member/friend was mis using pain killers involving three doctors, three pharmacies and the emergency room at the hospital....that you know of....

All THREE doctors offices should be told, and if you can give all doctors the names of the other physicians that are treating her that will help them out. Doctors A, B, and C need to know about each other. You can call and tell their nurses anonymously.
The Emergency Room needs to know. They'll input the information about her being a pill abuser into their computer so when she shows up again the doctor on duty will see her, but not give her pain medication..
Please call:
1. her doctors-all 3 of them.
2. the pharmacies-all of them
3. the ER-call admitting at the hosptial and tell them.
Tell them her name, that she is getting pills from 4 sources that you know of, and that you thought they needed to know. You may remain anonymous.
I worked in a hospital pharmacy for years and I can tell you what she is doing is going to kill her. Or she's going to hurt someone else by being high all the time. I've seen it too many times. One lady ran over someone in the ER parking lot in her haste to get her hands on pain pills!
You need to tell parents, grandparents, aunts,uncles, and all other family so they can schedule an intervention and get her into a rehab program, too.
Her addiction is endangering more people than just her, it's time for it to stop.

You need to tell for your friend's sake and for those around her.
I have a cousin that was using pain killers. It was suspected, but
noone could prove it until she just had her baby. The baby is
hanging on for her life now. She still won't admit she has a drug
problem.
It could also get the doctors in a lot of trouble. I would go to one of his/her doctors that you know he/she is going to and let them know
about this. They will keep the information confidential and will be
able to converse with the other doctors where you won't have to
worry about him/her finding out who told on them. If they are
affiliated with the hospital then the hospital will be informed. They
will then be put on a list of patients not to prescribe pain killers to and will probably recommend that they get rehabilitaion.

Have you talked to the friend about what you think she is doing? Maybe it's gotten out of hand and she doesn't even realise it? If the person is a minor under 18 I would definitly talk to her and let there parents know.Without knowing more about the situation thats the only thing i know to tell you, but it sound's serious so try to help if you can people die everyday from drug abuse.

Call your family/personal doctor and get advice from her/him. If you do not have a personal doctor, call the non emergency police number listed in your local phone book and ask for their advice.

well my aunt was doing that and my mom called the doctors and told them and the doctores no longer would prescribe pain killers to her. they would give her low doses of tylenol instead .lol. on her behalf but soon after she got help for her problem . maybe you should try that , good luck

Talk to this person and urge them to get help. If they won't listen to you - go the rest of their friends/family and stage an intervention.

I think I would talk to my friend and express my concerns if they were taking too many drugs
