A hymen does not determine virginity. Virginity is determined by whether or not a penis has penetrated your vagina or not.

You can do some investigation with a mirror, or you can go to the doctor and have them take a look. Your hymen can break from a plethora of activities. Just because your hymen is broken doesn't mean you are not a virgin though. If you future husband doesn't want to believe you're a virgin with a broken hymen then he is not worth marrying.

A gynecologist can tell you if your hymen is intact at your yearly exam, which you should be having if you've started your periods. Tell him/her your curios because you horseback ride and are very active. It is not at all rare for your hymen to wear away from alot of sports and especially horseback riding. And while some women experiance MILD pain and bleeding, many don't. And your husband will not be able to tell one way or another unless he is a gynecologist himself. You know you are a virgin, hymen or not, and that is what matters.

I never heard that a woman can born without the hymen, but the only person can answer that question is a doctor, or other wise you gonna have to have sex to see what's going on, and I'm pretty sure you dont want to do that, so go to the doctor, he knows how to do it properly, without any risk for you.

Is he really gonna get down there and check? Damn right that is unfair. Even if you aren't a virgin, the past is the past and if he really loves you, then he will have to accept that. But, if you are a virgin, and you tell him that, he will have to believe that. If he is going to 'investigate' I think you are better off finding someone else who does not treat you like he is your father.

The easiest way to know is taking a trip to see your gynecologist so he/she can tell you. But it seems to me you have all the information you need to know that the existence of the hymen is unimportant when it comes to virginity.

Honestly.....your future hubby will not know the difference and besides, the first time you have sex will be an intimate moment, not one where you will be wondering if your hymen is in tact or not
