Meh, they get used to it. I have yet to see a fish freak out. They'd have night and day in the wild, so it is not abnormal for it to get dark. I guess it gets dark a little quickly - but I'd expect there still to be a light on in the room when you turn off the aquarium light - maybe that is their "dusk".

loaches are nocturnal, so it is party time for them. Angels and most other fish sleep at night. I love catfish, so I have a dim redlight I use to watch them at night. It is neat to do, and you could see exactly whjat they are doing in the dark. they definately are not freaking out!

They rest...if you ever turn your tank lights back on when it's completely dark, you will see your fish hanging around near the bottom of the tank with very faded colors...they are resting!

They probably just get used to it. Turning off the tank light while the room lights are on will help the transition.

as long as it doesn't interrupt their feeding schedule they don't care. they get much more excited when you turn the light on because that usually means "FOOD!". Careful with angels and plants. They are cichlid relatives and on occasion especially when they are larger will glady shred more delicate ones.

One fish says to the other, "If there is no God, then who turns the lights off?"

If there is a female in the tank when the lights go out, she's probaly thinking, " Not tonight, I have a headache! "
