Not a liberal, but I would say it is without a doubt not winning the war. They think we already lost it! Ignorance on their part, they can't handle that Clinton did not finish the job there & it took President Bush to go back in there and finish this mess once & for all! I can see the thumbs down now! God Bless President Bush & our Military!

First of all winning the war in Iraq shouldn't even be an option to this question. They could care less about winning the war in Iraq and would pull out tomorrow if given the option. They have drove this so far into the ground they have no choice now but to stick with it.
I don't believe they really care about Gay marriage either. One way or the other is fine with them. What they do care about is turning these gay people into liberals and getting their votes.
So I would have to say the one thing they absolutely love to do is take more of our money by raising our taxes. It makes them feel strong and powerful and wanted. It is the core reason for the democratic liberal left wing nuts that think they can spend your money better than you can by giving it someone that doesn't have to work for it.
So raising taxes is the only possible answer to your question.

Winning the war is most important. Unfortunately, every military general who is familiar with the mess in Iraq says it cannot be won at this point. There are no good options.
PAYING for the war NOW, with money from the RICHEST Americans, and from the OIL companies is preferable to giant tax cuts for the super rich that will force the next seven generations of hard-working Americans to pay for it.
As for gay marriage, the majority of Americans are in favor of legalizing marriage or civil unions for gay people. So those who oppose it are in the minority, and are also opposing the Constitution, i.e. equal protection under the law.
Hope this helps.

We have to choose?
I would say of the three choices, resolving the war (since winning may not be an option due to republican mistakes).
Raising taxes is a straw man argument... liberals don't want higher taxes for the average person... we'd like to see lower taxes for the middle and lower class and we'd rather have the wealthy pay their fair share for the services they use.
Considering that raising taxes isn't actually a choice for this question, that puts gay marriage at a second stage. I think that stopping the regressives from outlawing it myopically is more important in the long term... but the issue of gay marriage is just a social evolution issue. It's coming, whether anyone likes it or not.

Trust me, in their heart of hearts, they want us to lose this war!
Winning this war is in the very best interests of this country but they cannot "GET IT"!

Raising taxes for their socialists programs. Socialism is only one step away from communism.

Of the 3 choices I would say raising taxes is #1, followed by gay marriage, followed (in last place) by winning the war (i.e. national security). It is a shame.
