I have Windows XP and I would like to play but my friend told me not to run the games on the XP platform.

The older command and conquer games should not be run on Win Xp. I tried to run the game by installing it under windows 95 and windows 98 mode and it messed up my computer. I had to reformat and install windows. The westwood website states that there is no support for the game under windows XP. I even tried a few hacks available on the internet with no luck. You can try but do it at your own risk. After a reformat and reinstall I would not suggest it.

You have Command & Conquer games but all of them are of Windows 98 so you can only do is Install Windows 98 with that Windows XP, but if you don't want to get Windows 98 installed then upgrade your games.

I'm not sure if it will work but try right click on game icon and select properties and click compatibility tab

you can run them in compatibility mode if they have.
