Over the past few days I've been noticing my tabnk has had certain things floating around. However when I look closely it just looks like little air bubbles. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix this?

That's fairly normal. Most tanks I've seen have a few bubbles floating around on top. Do you have a power filter, the water fall type? The water agitation can cause bubbles. Some water conditions are more prone to bubbling but it is usually caused by excess proteins in the water. If you increase the frequency of water changes, I'm sure you will notice a difference in the cleanliness of your water.

Is your tank new? This is more than likely air bubbles which were trapped inside the gravel or rock. When starting your tank, the gravel needs to be washed well. even soaked in a bucket and swished around to remove dust and impurities. many times this isn't done well enough and after being placed into the tank, the porus rock begin to "water log" releasing small air bubbles. (Most are actually little dust bubbles with fine particulate dust keeping the bubbles in tact. your filter should pull most of this out. If you are still running fishless just use a wooden spoon or your gravel siphon and swish the gravel around. It doesn't pose a threat to the tank.

If you have fish, the next water change, use your siphon and move the rock around. The air pockes will eventually work their way out of the tank.

well air bubbles aren't always a bad thing so it may not really need a fix. Bubbles for when certain types of proteins form a matrix that holds air. Thin film of fat or oil around air that is.... So a water change will probably help remove some of the organics responsible.

I dont know exactly what it is but I have an idea. It is just your fish breathing. All fish do it.
