i work LATER on fridays. shouldnt that be against the law or something??

Tell your employers its POETS day. You should be able to go early, it'd be rude to make you do otherwise...

My hubby gets to leave at lunchtime on Fridays.
Yes, working later SHOULD be against the law...tell them you'll put in that extra time on Thursday instead, haha. Unless you're in a restaurant or store that stays open later on weekends to cater to the customers. But in that case, you probably have to work weekends too so a Friday isn't really a Friday.

I work 7 to 4 on Fridays and it's nice because everyone else is here till at least 5. I don't mind getting up earlier for it, either. Always worth it

I work 8 hours on Friday and 12 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

I only leave early if the census is down and there's someone there to cover the rest of my shift. He's not scheduled today, so I'm stuck there until closing.

i agree is should be against the law. I leave early only if my boss is already done. but he's not here so far

Sometimes. That is terrible, and should be against the law! Though I guess if you work at a bank, it is not that uncommon.
