i would say white, but that's depending on how the fish is cooked... you want to get something that will compliment the flavor not clash with it. I have, however, heard from several chef's (My parents are in the restaurant business) that if you have a fish say Salmon or tuna with a dark glazed sauce, that a red wine is sometimes prefered to meet the flavor of the glaze. If you have a lighter fish, tilapia or flounder go with the white. if you have a heavier/ meatier fish like tuna or swordfish go with the red.
Just keep in mind how heavy the fish is and how it's prepared... have fun drinking!

White wine with 'white fillet' fish. Red wine or even Rose' goes very well with Salmon.

Girl with white meat you drink white wine.
With red meat you drink red wine.
With fish it is a bit different,it is not called meat
so,drink what ever wine you like
I for instance like rose with fish.
Or white,but never red.
Have a nice meal:here are flowers for the dining room table.
Cut them a bit and put them in water
Flowers from Holland.

White wine tends to go better with fish. Chardonnays, Rieslings, Pinot Grigio's are all great choices.
