Any photo quality computer paper will do, of course HP will recommend their paper saying it's "color matched" to their inks, it might be true, I don't know. I like Kodak paper, being a old timer that lived in darkrooms developing pictures the good old fashioned way. If you want real color looking photos, HP probably suggests buying their color print ink cartridges. I like HP, and their products are pretty good, so yes, being a cheap skate, I would plunk down my money for it. Course I would also hit Walmart or one of the other on line photo services (with discounts). Chow
