First I'd like to say that no one collects being money for being Native. That just isn't how it works and that wording is offensive.
And one shouldn't want to become enrolled just for monetary benifit. Having said that the answer to your question is listed below,

To become enrolled in one's tribe is often a difficult process. Once one is enrolled one will have certain rights as a Native person. It is true that no one needs to prove their ethnic identity but to have full access to rights for Native people one must be enrolled.

To become enrolled one must first should call one's tribe and find out the enrollment requirements. They are different per tribe.
For most tribes you have to prove descendency and have a certain blood quantum. To prove descendency one needs to have some record of her belonging to a member of the tribe that was recognized by the tribe at some point, hopefully an individual that was enrolled at some point. The average blood quantum standard is 1/4. Unless you are Cherokee, they pretty much accept any blood quantum.

If you don't have contact with your father then you can ask the tribe to look for his last name. They can look this up and see if his family line is registered. If so then your in luck. If they don't immediately find it then you can use the tribal newspaper and submit an article asking if anyone has lineage to your father.

Many Native people can never become enrolled because standards of enrollment are high and were set up by the White government to oppress Native people and Native people have yet to change them.

To become more involved in one'sculture one might want to look up local Native organizations or local tribes. Try going to Pow-wow's (because they are easy to find) and talk to community members there. Many colleges/universities have a Native student union where one can get involved or get more information.

Please remember ancestry is very difficult for many Native people.

By the way, I am Native, so I have some knowledge pertaining to this.

You don't... A lot of people who are 4/4 don't get many benefits if any...and live very poor. Leave whatever is available to those that really need it. Like some poor old woman on a reservation that lives alone right now in the middle of winter in a small shack with no insulation and the kerosene to keep her warm is running out...and be glad it's not your own grandmother to worry about.

I am descended from Native Americans and I'm getting a scholarship to my college (not a full one) from my Indian tribe. It all depends on which tribe where you from. Just find out if your tribe gives out money. I was lucky in that my tribe has a lot of money and it helps a lot for college. Research your tribe on the internet. Good luck!

Get yourself a cup and a sign that reads "I am a native american and you stole my land! Now pay up.". Go to any large city in america and stand on the street corner shaking the cup and sign at people walking by you. They should begin to feel guilty and put money in your cup.

that is one concept, yet some weeks in the past i'd heard about archaeologists looking 50,000 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous artifacts in the southeast u . s .. it is the time at the same time as the first migrations out of Africa got here about. so that they might of looked there first and not in any respect asia (which for sure means the land bridge concept will be incorrect).

well if u could collect money u shouldnt be allowed to get it, u arent native american, u have it in you but u are not one. they wouldnt consider u part of their race. tiger woods is half asian and thjey sure as hell dont consider him part of their race. the only race that will accept anyone with a drop of of it in them is black people. u can be one quarter black and we will consider u african-american!

EDIT: MY great-grandmother was native american, she was cherokee, so should i go trying to be part of that race, no, i am mostly black and that is what i stick too!

Most of the tribes are broke, but type in the one you are in Yahoo search engine and find their office.
Write to them, but don't be to disappointed if they have no money to give to new brethren.
