Are WAG's (wifes and girlfriends) of footballers just spongers and women who are trying to further their careers, or cleaver girls who use their looks and bodies to manipulate and lead their footballer into getting waht they want?

Possible combination of both. Although some have careers themselves many don't seem to have jobs...

Some have been there from the start - Colleen for exmaple. Some will be spongers, and many don't seem that bright (witness Wag's boutique) which means they and footballers are made for each other

Some of the wags have been with their men from the beginning so I would of thought that they are not in it just for the money but the women who go out intentionally to marry a footballer or serial date footballers are more likely to be in it for the money

I'm of the opinion that they're spongers, girls who can't make their own mark on the world so they live off the earnings of their bf's. Look at Posh - what's she known for?? Not a lot apart from being married to Beckham.

Depends who your looking at.
Stevie Gerrards missus dont seem to do much but spend his money, but she must be doing something right to keep him. Posh may not do much now but she has made enough money selling her records, and her clothes line and whatever other pies she has her fingers in. I think the more famous the footballer the more likely the wife is going to be a clinger on. But then again, Joe Coles missus is a fitness instructor and earns her own money.
But, must be hard knowing your fella earns that much money and knowing if you get seen spending any of it everyone labels you a money grabber!

I would say clever. My boyfriend always says if he were a woman he would find an ugly rich guy. That way you know you're not going to get dumped because he is too ugly to get anyone else!!

well if u watch most of them on tv they seem to have no brains between them but u do get the odd 1 or 2 who actually have a brain a business so they can't all be thick........
