I wouldn't go if I knew kids were going to be present. Especially a 9 month old who will need constant attention. What will make it a vacation if you still have to take care of someone else? Sounds like more trouble then what it is worth. I wouldn't want to listen to my own child crying on vacation, much less someone else's kids.

You have nothing to worry about. See my answer on your other question. There are lots of people that cruise with babies. It's perfectly safe.
As for falling overboard, that is ridiculous. There are railings around the whole entire ship.
Many cruises, particularily Carnival, are geared towards family travel.

Where exactly in the east are you going? Asia, Mediterranian? I say go for it. Totally. Even though you have a 9 month old, it still could be a great experience for all of you. It would be awesome. I say go, and take pictures. As a new parent, you need all you can get. My wife and I used to bring my son along everywhere we went. Vacations, restaurants, amusement parks, everywhere. He is 5 now, and to this day he knows how to behave in public places. Plus, it gives him fond memories of places he would like to revisit maybe. Trust me, your child would love you for it, even that young.

i have two kids and if i had the chance to when either of them were younger i would have still went. Like someone else said at least they'll have pictures to look at when they are older and they can hope to go again. Plus it might build a good bond.

No, I wouldn't take my baby. Its too risky. People have fallen off the ship, too many abductions, I wouldn't want to go on a cruise myself!

I'd go. You may never get another chance to go on a cruise.
