ok so my friend is writing a book about this girl who is homless and lives with her brother in an alley way. her brother makes minumum waige and is often beaten up by the nearby gang. then the girl meets a dog who changes things and the way they see things. and the dog shows them the good in life. does that sound ok, i mean i wasn't very specific, but it is what she told me.

The plot sounds good, and there are many things that can go into this, I hope she does a good job on details with their feelings and emotions, you've got to put the reader there, tell your friend good luck!!

Depends on how it's written. The plots always sound good or bad, but how the auther writes can change it.

Example: A guy I know was writting a book that sounded wonderful, until his writting style ruined it by making it too complicated.

Another friend of mine had a very boring-sounded plot line, but her story and her style made it fun to read.

It sounds pretty cool seeing good through the eyes of a dog. Your friend should just make sure that they don't make it too simple or complicated.

It seems to have promise. The plot sounds like something that would spark interest but it has to be written well or she may as well forget it.
