Well you know the story about my daughter who just moved out and we would just avoid each other, which really just delayed us actually talking and trying to work it out. I would think if you could convince the other person to talk to you about with a 3rd party around that would help to avoid hostile words flying. Also the 3rd party could point on things that they see that you may not of noticed.
