Well, how badly does your boyfriend want a baby? You should ask him that... Because if you do that for a few months, you'll really be increasing your chances of getting one... Ask him to start calling you his "hot-baby-mama" for a sexy nickname during sex... And maybe you can call him "Daddy" while your playing the sex-lottery... it will be a sexyromantic reminder for you both, of the baby you might well be making together... I'd also maybe start shopping for diapers, baby clothes and a crib... Oh, yeah, and a good car seat. Make sure you let your boyfriend know you and the baby will be riding in the backseat while he drives from now on, since that's where the car seat and hot-baby-mommy end up... Oh, and be sure you call and let his mom know she might be a grandmother soon! While your giving her the good news, be sure to let her know it was him who had the really cool idea for you to not use condoms for most of the time you'll be having unprotected sex. She can start telling all her friends and family. Be smart.... not on the pill? Use a condom unless you really do want a baby....

Well...if you spend it on yourself it would be selfish...if you spend it on the house its like you shared it or something. If your hubby is a stickler for fairness then you should both divey it up and get 500 each.

You should ask your hubby what he thinks. The money belongs to both of you (assuming a joint tax return) and you need to decide what to do together.

technically you said "taxes" that would mean both of yours.
If you spent it all, it would be stealing.
Possibly even fraud depending on the way you look at it. (im assuming you did the taxes)
And if your relationship wasn't stable, that could provide a very reasonable ground for divorce.
