in FM, television there are less programs for jazz.

WHY ? This is a cultural trend ? . how can you explain this?

Jazz is too complex for the standard listener. It seems like everyone just wants the flavour-of-the-week song with a catchy chorus that they'll just forget about in a few months. That's just the culture today.

Yeah, I'm sorry about it to. Sometimes, when I'm at a tiny little jazz club listening to world class musicians who I consider to be monks or priests of some nondenominational religion/church, I wonder why such crappy, no talent bands fill stadiums. It is sad.

I think it is true that the art of any culture reflects its mass population. I can't site any dominant reason for the uninterest in jazz. I do think that MTV changed music from something to listen to into something to LOOK at. Now, it's all a matter of association with the pop stars. Our society doesn't really listen. It's got to crumble soon.

you should get XM radio, you'll have tons of choices for jazz stations, but I like some jazz its very mellow and cool
