Four to five years for a standard battery. Cold climates often demand more frequent change outs.

A car battery should last around 5 years. Some batteries will die sooner and some will last a lot longer depending on how they are cared for and the climate in which they are used.

If you drive a car everyday about 5 years.

If you park a car for the winter and un-hook the battery it could last many years.

If you drive a car that is know to have bad alternators, you will probably go through a number of batteries.
