Two uses that are current are:

1. Cut a slot in the ball and put it on the bottom end of a 'walker' for assisted living patients. This stops it from sliding too far.

2. Cut a slot in the ball and put it on the end of a stick and use the ball to remove black marks from a tiled floor.

A less effecient use is to float many of them on top of a tank of water to eliminate evaporation by having less surface area.

Hope this helps your homework.

I know from experience, Put some oil or something flamable on it. Then Light it on fire. Wait until the fire burns all of the fizzy stoff off. There will be a rubber ball left. Cut it open and attach a metal piece to both of them to make ear muffs.

cut holes in them and place them on all the feet of the desks in a child's classroom -- this will protect the floor when the desks move. this can be done on any furniture, of course.

cut a slit in the ball and where it on your nose.

the all time favorite -- counterweight on long antenae.
