Depends on what you want, and what you need;
If you work in a Place that uses IE 6 ( I do not know of any Large Company that has gone to IE 7 on an informed basis), then it will pay for you to have whatever the Company has. Especially if you have to access Company sites that are specifically written for IE 6.x
However, if you are free from such constraints, then try the Netscape 7.x Browser ( Good Email Integration). Netscape 8.0.1 is good, but its tabbed, annoying ( to me) and has no specific Mail Integration.
Most of the techs I work with use Mozilla, or Firefox, but you need to be able to work with the plugins and add-ins and other such things.
Outside of these, the MAC has two regular browsers, but the names escape me, but the feedback I have had is that they are very good.
So, I would suggest checking them out.
Also, if you get Netscape, I can say that investing in a Disc Copy of the Installer, and the Manual you get when you order it, is well worth it. It may be free to download, but the installer/reinstaller, can come in real handy , as does the Manual ( as large as it is ).

Mozilla works better than but it doesn't support all languages. Even OPERA is good in a way. Instead of sticking to one browser why don't you use all the three like IE, Mozilla and Opera.

FireFox (from http://www.mozilla.org/) is the most popular choice for those that do not want to use IE for some reason or another. Opera is probably a faster browser but costs money (?!?)

Definitely Mozilla Firefox. It takes longer to load, but it is far more secure. It's also got a wonderful add-on system, so you can install extras to customize it to your liking.
