I am in the prosses of altering my shop frount, I would like to make a disabled entrance as I have customers that are disabled is there a grant from the govement.

thank you so very much, i think in someparts of the country it is the law now to give disabled entrances,but i also think if you get in contact with your local council the can fund for most of the costs and labour but if it is to bigger job they just fund you a set amount. thanx again very thought full 10/10

Contact your local planning department as you will need permission anyway and it is now law to consider access for the disabled. When the law came in a couple of years ago there were grants to do alterations, but I think they may now have stopped. However if you're altering the front anyway it shouldn't cost any more to incorporate disabled access. The council should be able to tell you if grants are still available.

depends where you live approach local council for details well-done for doing what your doing if more people like you made the effort life for disabled people would be a lot easier thank you
