Is something wrong with my birth control IUD and my body? I've just gotten on this IUD about a month ago and I'm bleeding ever since. My doctor said on the day of the procedure that I will be spotting for a few hours but it's been months 1- 1/2. I read somewhere it said that women will bleed for a few weeks after IUD is insert but it's taken forever for me. I'm scare that something might be wrong with my IUD. I don't bleed everyday, but since I got the IUD about a month ago I had only about 3 days that I recall i didn't bleed other than that it's like mini periods for me everyday and someday it really seems like I'm on my periods. I'm pretty scare. I think I better contact my doctor uh??

Which IUD do you have? I have the Mirena and I had spotting more then not the first few months I got the thing. It is normal it is the IUD settling into your uterine lining. Also I went back for a recheck to make sure it was in the right place 4 weeks after insertion. Have you had a recheck appointment? If not call the Dr go in get it rechecked and have them answer all your questions. Anymore questions you can email me through this site.

You got it. Call your doc, if she continues the "Oh this is normal" routine tell her it's not and that she needs to see you now or you will sue. Maybe a week of bleeding after getting it inserted is normal but not over a month.

DUH Yes.
Maybe you should get that thing removed and go on the pill.
Maybe that would lower your libido and help you keep your pants up.
