are astrology readings really true?

how can someone read others' palm,. many a times my friends' readings come true.if all this was true then why don't the astrologers predict their future and become rich or powerful themselves?! whydo they sit on the streets and tell other's destiny and future instead??

One time I saw a demo in a class and the teacher gave all the students their astrology predictions for that day. They all read them and said 'yeah, that's true" of "yeah, that's sort of true"

So then he asked them all to trade with someone else randomly, again and again. And everytime the students read a new astrology they could find something true.

So try it yourself. Look at the astrology predictions today from somewhere. I bet you can find something true about all of them as it relates to your life.

Astrologists talk in vague generalities, often picking subjects near and dear to us, like money, love, career, travel.

Some people do have psychic abilities, but I would be careful because they may be in touch with the unseen, which is often dark and mysterious and has an ill will toward humans. A lot of personal psychics just pick up on your life by probing, asking you to confirm their intuitions which we all have but aren't often aware of.

I personally don't believe in that jazz but there does seem sometimes to be something to it. I've had my palm read yrs. ago and what the lady said came tru years later. Go figure, maybe some do have a gift --but I believe if they do it is a gift from above and all things they predict will be true andnot just an educated guesslike Ms. Brown where half of her predictions are false.

Astrology is not just predicting the future or reading one's destiny, infact it has little to do with both. and the predicting of the future or destiny is a common myth of Astrology.

never have i seen anything material in any astrology readings. for example one common position for Donald Trump and Bill Gates have a Jupiter in their second house ... which basicly reads they always have the feeling of never having enough things or money. and are constantly looking for ways to find more.

does it necesairly mean they will be successfull? no a string of bad luck or oppurtunitys that they never took could have made them very unsuccessfull.

you are giving more credit to astrology then it should be given ... if i truly could read the future .. i would be rich.

I take astrology with a grain of salt and something fun. I think if astrologers can become rich, just go to astrology.com and see how much it costs for detailed reports and they have *lots* of detailed stuff they will sell you. Someone who believes in this, will indeed buy it just like calling a Psychic hotline. The fun stuff I think should be free, in fact at astrology.com you can have them email you your Cat's Horoscope (for free). That cracked me up.

As for palm reading, I think there's something to that. I'm just not sure what. I'll explain why. I have a syndrome, but looking at me, you'd never guess it. You'd never know I have chronic pain. For fun my husband and I were in New Orleans (before Katrina) and he had his palm read. The woman took a look at his hand, and then she turned to me and said, "You have an ailment." Now, mind you, we had not been discussing my syndrome, I hadn't been hurting so I hadn't said anything nearby, nor taken any medication, I had no signs of someone with chronic pain. Nevertheless, she could tell by my husband's palm, there was something wrong physically with me. She showed us why on his palm but for the life of me I can't begin to explain it now. It's been at least five years since. As for her predictions, nothing came true except our big move to someplace far away and we did, we moved three states away then moved back a few years later. But was there something to her reading? I dunno and I may never know. I just know it made both our jaws drop because we weren't expecting it =D.

Astrology? -shrugs- nah. I notice there's a generalization to it but it's fun so long as you don't take it seriously. I was told in numerology (I think) that I would excel as a teacher - and oddly, that's what I'm studying to be. I do notice that with astrology, numerology, the Chinese astrology(?) and elements, I tend to fit the descriptions they offer of myself but again, these are broad generalized descriptions and can fit many people. Fact I can read other descriptions , like Aries, Taurus, Ox, etc. (I'm an Aquarius and born under the Chinese year of the Rabbit (1975) ) and fit myself into their descriptions as well. But since today's Cat Scopes just arrived, I thought for fun I'd share one everyone so you could enjoy it (and see how silly astrology can get, I mean c'mon, Cat Scopes? -giggles- still cracks me up!):

Pisces - February 20 - March 20
Your sleeping life is going to be a lot more interesting than your waking life, so don't be ashamed of spending as much time as possible dreaming. People might find your twitching and contortions amusing, but you'll know better

True believers think being a successful and accurate mystic is a gift and as such should only be used for the good of others. Their gain from doing it to give a subtle nudge to help the other person along their given path already chosen for them while at the same time giving them all the facts and knowledge they will need to make the right choices. Astrology is not magic. It is interpretation, they do not see the future.

Everything is made up of the same thing, call it energy god whatever, this manifests in logical order(patterns), which has been observed for thousands of years, and related to many things such as the layout of the stars (astrology), humans behavioral patterns (horoscopes).

When one "pattern" is present (place/time) anything/person entering this reality at the same time is imprinted with the current "pattern".

All astrologers do is look at the "pattern" in the sky and from past experiences label other "patterns" that occur at the same time. Astrology effects everything, and everything goes in cycles(governments/people/relationships/lives/towns/planets/solar systems) everything.

It's fish bait for the gullible at best. All it takes is some common sense to figure out your 'destiny"... You don't have to pay someone to tell you that, you can figure it out yourself. People shared the same kind of fundamental problems. Anyhoo, remember the rule of thumb :"The steps you are taking today will take you to where you will be tomorrow" The only problem you should think about is where do you want ot go, and what steps you need to take in order to get there. Easy.

They will never be 100 % true of course, but there is some fact in that, based on my experience. You will definitely possess certain qualities that your particular horrorscope has and even if you dont reallise it now, wait till ure older and more mature.
