I will be vacationing in Brownsville, VT this June.
Can I expect it to be rainy at that time of year?
What is there to do there?
Is there a white water rafting anywhere near there?
What golf courses do you recomend?
Is there any point of interest I should definately get to?
Your help is appreciated.

It's impossible to tell if it'll be rainy or not. Most Junes are gorgeous, but some are totally rained out. We won't know until we get there.

As far as what to do, if you want to go a little bit north (30, 40 minutes) you'll be in Quechee, which is gorgeous, has a gorge, actually, rafting and such. They also have a hot air balloon festival which I believe takes place in June (or is it August?). Woodstock is another great place to check out - it's the same distance, just to your left on Rt 106.

There's shopping in White River Junction, and Hanover, NH shares the border with WRJ, and that's where Dartmouth College is.

The Hanover/Quechee/Woodstock line is very quaint. Brownsville itself I'm not so sure about.

Go east to Lake Sunapee (NH) or to the lakes region (Holderness, NH), about 90 minutes away, or up into the white mountains. Or go to Burlington, VT - lots to do there - and see Lake Champlain.

Enjoy!

Go to NYC.
No, seriously, it's a beautiful area. I spent some time in Maine one summer and had a great time. We did a lot of driving around, including driving to Quebec and to New Brunswick. The finger lakes area of NY are also nice.

Normally on these kinds of questions, I suggest contacting the local chamber of commerce. They will usually provide brochures for these kinds of things. Unfortunately, I was unable to find a website for this town. You might want to try a nearby town. Just type the name of that town into any search engine and usually one of the first things listed is the Chamber. It's part of their job to promote tourism.

I did find this website, which may be helpful:

Have a fun trip!
