I used to be, but I'm not anymore, for that matter, I don't find clowns funny, but at the end of the day, who can compalin about them, they are, after all, just people trying to make a living.

I am scared of clowns because growing up, I watched alot of cartoons where the younger characters all seemed to be scared of clowns and thus I have subconciously taken on the same fear. I have also never been to a circus so as a child I didn't really know that there was nothing to be scared of :)

I am scared of clowns, not sure why, as a child I had a black and white clown which i used to shut away as it scared me (before i was old enuff to hav seen any horror films). I couldn't hav a clown in the house and although i will watch them at the circus and be amused, they are just ppl dressed up, its figures of clowns that scare me. i think it may be there faces, ment probably be to seem mischeivious but come across as unpredictable an untrustworthy, pls let me no if you find out the probable cause of why they scare

No. I know some people were but I loved going to the circus and If I got scared I'd just stare really hard over the ege of my popcorn. Then my active imagination go the better of me and I imagined the clown in a field of popcorn.

Yes, since I was about ten.
I was watching a little house and the prairie episode where a young girl was being stalked by a man. He would hide with a clowns mask on and later in the episode he attacked her. Ever since then, I have been terrified.

I don't think they're so popular these days. We don't use them in the science museum I work at. We'll fool with costumes a lot, but no heavy make-up and certainly not the classic clown costumes. I don't know if they scare the kids, but apparently they creep out the adults.

Clowns have been used in the horror films, more than ever, yet I am never scared of them but amused by them.
