Hello.

I need to know the best method for analysing outer membrane proteins on gram negative outer membrane proteins.

Need to know what the proteins are, what they do? and possibly the dna/amino structure.

All help much appreciated. thankyou.

thanks Dirkhoek 2004. The science direct article is useful.

I do have athens access so i can view journal articles.

However, i need to know how i would analyse OMP's. Do i use assays, chromotography or cytometry?

I need to know the methods which i could then use.

Thank you

On the www.sciencedirect.com you can find lots of research articles on this topic. Problem is that you might not be able to access full text articles like me, unless your research university or company is subscribed to them.

Enter in the search field on sciencedirect.com "gram negative bacterial membrane proteins" and go to article 88. This is a nice review article on outer membrane proteins. It is Lin et al. (2002) and is called: "Outer membrane proteins: key players for bacterial adaptation in host niches"

Download the pdf-file or open html version. I really hope you can access it because I think it might help you.
