Excluding Jesus/relegious events, those are too easy, everyone would want to see that, if for no other reason than simply seeing if it was real.

As morbid as it may be, my first inclination was that I wanted to go back and watch the Salem Witch Trials- to me, that period in time signified a dark moment in our nation's history when religious fanaticism took hold and innocent people were killed for religious reasons. I feel that there is a lot to be learned, even now, from that time and a lot more religious acceptance could come from it if people understood the cause of it all- the false accusations, the fear of the unknown, and people in power making all the choices that affect many (including, and most importantly, their thinking)... I think this country could learn a lot about tolerance, religious and otherwise.
Great question!

Is it only to witness? If I could go back to be involved in a time in the past then it would be to 1955 USA where perhaps I could use my being white to make a point in common sense. I would march with the black rights movement and I would no doubt be villanised and then given a voice to answer "why" - then I could point out the stupidity of peoples ideas. I just think it's humiliating to look back and see how white people acted. Not that black folks needed help, they did fine without me, dont get me wrong. But that's what I would like to be able to say I did.
I just recently watched "American Blackout" so it's an issue Im quite angry about even though Im 23 and Scottish!

Great question! It's hard for me to pinpoint one event or time. The fall of the Alamo is one. Of course, I'd like to visit the ancient civilizations; Rome, Greece, Egypt. And, there are a number of people I'd like to meet. But, there are just too many to mention.

I would like to see what first century Athens was like. How were the philosophical debates there carried out? How did the average Athenian live each day?
