Her husband is not Greek, his grandfather the King of Greece was a Prince of Denmark. However, the Greeks NEEDED A KING and choose him as a suitable choice to be their King (weird I know) so he took the job and became the King of Greece. His son was then the Prince of Greece and Denmark, as was Philips title. Philips mother was full German, his father was at least 1/2 german and 1/2 danish. His Mother was born right in front of Queen Victoria and was named Princess Victoria, however they called her Princess Alice until she married Philips father, when her name was changed to Princess Andrew (Prince Philips fathers name) of Greece. After Prince Philip of Greece and Denmarks father died, she became a Greek Orthodox nun and around 1921 or so, when Philip was born, the Greeks overthrew their Government and exiled the Royal Family to Europe and England. Prince Philip stayed with his mothers family, the Battenbergs (by now they were called Mountbatten's which meant the same thing in English that Battenberg meant in German). His uncle, Lord Louis Mountbatten (a great-great friend of Queen Victoria's and cousin) took him in and taught him to be "british" he gave up all his German and Greek titles and joined the British Navy where he moved up fast. He and Queen Elizabeth were 3rd cousins, his mother was her 2nd cousin.
Prince Philip is also related to the Royal families of Sweden (1st and 2nd cousin) and the Danish royals, all 4 of his Princess sisters married Nazi's and their husbands fought on Hitler's side. This made his mother very unhappy.
Queen Elizabeth is Scottish and German ancestry. Her mother is Scottish and her Father of German (full-blooded) ancestry.
Lets put it a way that most AMERICANS can understand, because I am one. I'm part Native American, British and French. When people ask me what I am, I say American. American isn't a Nationality (blood line) anyways unless your fullblooded native american indian. SO, the Queen was born a British Citizen, in fact, SHE IS BRITAIN! She embodies everything about Britain that is good and great. Longevity, goodness (well, we hope), kindness, charity, hard-working, in among the people, etc. To say SHE'S not British is to say NO ONE can say their British.

The Queen is THE British institution. She does have some German blood in her veins - so what? Anyone who is of Anglo-Saxon stock has as well. We've all probably got some, as well as French, Italian, Belgian, Dutch, Swedish, Danish and God knows what else. It doesn't stop us being English.
So she married a Greek. What's wrong with that? It's marriages between monarchs of different countries that binds them together.

The Queen was born in this country; that's how it make her British. Same goes for the rest of her family; they were all born in Britain. The part of your question relating to the term 'institution' can be supported by the fact that the UK has one of the oldest lineages of royalty in Europe.

It is not a British institution it is a German one and the sooner we get rid of these foreign parasites the better, they talk about illegal immigrants sponging off the tax payer, they are nothing compared to these German and Greek parasites.
