The quesrion I would ask if I were you, is are you actually gay. You need to decide that before you do anything, obviously you have a problem with the gay lifestyle or you would not ask this question. You may have a gay lifestyle due to social learning or it could be genetic. If you choose to change, you can at any age.

Every gay is a separate individual, only the specialist may be able to decide, but I guess the age should be young and not more than 26 years.

Are you serious?? You are born gay. It's not a decision or a choice. The only reason that a person who is gay would be with someone of the opposite sex is because they may not feel that their friends and family would be accepting of their homosexuality. By the way, calling anyone "a gay" is offensive.

Human sexuality is much too complicated for anyone to be definite about this question.
Nothing has really changed since Masters and Johnson's study.
I quote:: "The genetic theory of homosexuality has been generally discarded today." [W.H. Masters, V.E. Johnson, R.C. Kolodny (1985) Human Sexuality, 2nd Ed., p. 411-412, Little, Brown and Company
Everyone keeps saying that studies have proven persons are born that way. All of the studies are inconclusive. But why does it matter how they got that way? They are.

Sometimes It's not even possible for a gay/lesbian to change, but if you see signs early on, treat them early on. It'll be hard because psychology says there is nothing wrong with being a gay, so not many treatments that I know of exist.

according to psychologists, they dont even understand why people are gay, they have been trying to figure it out but there are many theories. So they can't put a date on it..however i dont think gays can change, if theyre relly gay, then they cant change,,like im not gay and im not all of a sudden gonna turn it.

Well, since being gay is a choice people make, a person can choose to be not gay until they're a hundred!!
Not that gay people live to be a hundred what with the AIDS and all...

There is no credible scientific evidence
that someone can choose their sexual
preference ... ever.
And there is plenty of evidence to the
contrary.
Most doctors and researchers believe
that sexual preference is determined
in-utero at about the same time that
the brain orients its own sexuality.
So, if there is any answer, it would
be "Before you're born."
Now, people can choose to surpress
their natural urges - but its not clear
it that will lead to a happy or healthy
life.
