I'm in recruiter and well, yes. You knew what the job description was in advance so you should never have said anything contradictory to what they were looking for. Your answer here should have been that you can be too much of a perfectionist or something like that. When you knew they were looking for friendly, to imply that you are anti-social was a bad answer. Next time, study the job description and listen to what they say in the interview. When you get asked that question again, be prepared to say something that won't reflect badly on you.

That may be part of the reason you did not get the job. Next time when you are asked a question like that, turn a negative into a positive.

"Sometimes I get so passionate about my work and can overwork myself."

"I tend to be a perfectionist, I can't put something down until it's perfect."

By responding to that trap question, you set yourself up. Your immediate answer is :There is NOTHING I don't like about myself. Do I think I can use some improvement in some areas, of course! We all need improvement at one time or another. Always be positive about yourself.

It certainly didn't help to describe yourself as the opposite of what type of employee they were looking for.
