When I want to burn a dvd or convert a video my PC freezes; Why. Please help.?

Windows XP
Nero is my burner
I am using an LG bunner drive

I do have the cleaning tool. I also have ccleaner which I think may not be the best.
I started burning or converting when I was actively running nothing else on the machine.

In my opinion the best software to burn CDs/DVDs is Ashampoo Burning. It's a free software and it can be downloaded here: http://j.mp/1lAV3G7

If you want to make a DVD that will work on a common DVD player, you definitely need a burning software. Copying the movie as is directly to a new DVD it's not the right way to do it (If you do so your DVD player will not be able to play the video/movie properly).
The most reliable DVD burning program I used it Ashampoo Burning. It works with all types of videos and music (both with DVDs and CDs). Ashampoo is a very modern and professional software (you can also edit videos and create DVD menus)

With the machine parts you have listed, you should be able to make dvds, slowly, but you should be able to do it. I'd suggest you run an antivirus program, and then defrag. After doing that, and while running nothing else in the background, NeroVision Express should be able to make a dvd in about 1 and a half hours. This kind of program will use all of your memory during the processing, so leave it alone while it runs. HTH

2 thing i can think of one you got to many program running in the back ground, are you need to clen up you free space so the memery ,on pc be free,some time ,it need to be a dis clean up an a deflag, is all you need to do,also got to tool an clean it out,,,, that tool them internet opions
